On 25 June, around 400 million viewers tuned in from around the globe to watch a show called Our World. It was the first live, international satellite television production. Each country represented nominated segments of life and culture to showcase to people from all four corners of the earth. But the United Kingdom had a distinct advantage in that it had The Beatles. A reason for anyone around the world to tune in. And not only did they get to see the legendary Liverpool band, they also got to witness the live debut of their new song, “All You Need Is Love”.

It turned out that all the world needed was love as the adult population switched off their TV sets at the end of the revolutionary One World cultural marathon, before hot-tailing it upstairs to practice their newly acquired All You Need Is Love lyrics.
